The running season is well and truly underway and we've had many iconic races already. The season opening Centurion running event South Downs Way 50 has happened. We were lucky enough to take part last year and it is an absolutely epic course over the stunning South Downs.
Manchester marathon has been and gone and we know from social media there were a lot of people making the most of the flat course and smashing their PB's.
Our 'bucket list' race, the Marathon de Sables, is also done for another year. This race is on our to do list and is a standout in many people's eyes. We'd love to have a Team Runr representing in a future race so we'll let you know when we intend on doing it.
We have been busy too having completed the Thames Meander marathon and a week later the New Forest 50km race in March.
So what's up next? In true spirit of what runr is all about we are doing the London Marathon... but not like everyone else as we weren't lucky in the ballet. We will be getting up and running the route backwards starting at 4am and finishing at 8am when all the real marathon runners are getting there for the start! Why? Its a very good question and one I'm not entirely sure of. But why not? There is a group of total strangers all coming together to bond over our passion for running and share in the experience together.
It's what runr is all about.
I'm a runr.
We hope you will be too.
